Prishtina, 01.12.2017. The Republic of Albania is facing an emergency situation due to incessant rains and according to their forecasts the situation is getting worse. As a result, the Directorate of Civil Emergencies of the Republic of Albania has requested assistance from the Emergency Management Agency / Ministry of Internal Affairs, to support rescue operations with five (5) rescue teams and three (3) experts for assessment of the situation. The General Director of AME, with the prior approval of the Minister of Internal Affairs, has decided to send the teams in question to their destination tomorrow at 6:00.
The teams are composed of 34 members selected by the Professional Firefighting and Rescue Units, equipped with the appropriate tools for conducting surface water rescue operations.
